Calculating component temperatures in gearboxes for transient operation conditions

چکیده

Abstract The knowledge of component temperatures during transient operation conditions is essential for an optimal design a gearbox. This because critical peak limit the transferable power as well load capacity. Moreover, understanding thermal behavior gearbox key to improving its efficiency. Therefore, Thermal Network Method (TNM) calculation program WTplus was extended calculate in gearboxes conditions. Specifically, TNM considers masses and specific heat capacities each node modelling structure. enables algorithm compute corresponding system differential equations thus determine temperature change over time. can be used identify cycles. applied method validated with measurements collected at FZG gear efficiency test rig.

Explicit Operation Specification for Component Databases

Database queries within a component framework usually take the form of a string passed to an operation in a component’s interface. The interface operation accepts a value of type string as an actual parameter and implements the necessary support to resolve the query. In such an approach, a component’s interface does not explicitly state the queries supported by that component. In this paper, we...

Belt Conveyor Dynamics in Transient Operation for Speed Control

Abstract—Belt conveyors play an important role in continuous dry bulk material transport, especially at the mining industry. Speed control is expected to reduce the energy consumption of belt conveyors. Transient operation is the operation of increasing or decreasing conveyor speed for speed control. According to literature review, current research rarely takes the conveyor dynamics in transien...

Calculating critical temperatures of superconductivity from a renormalized Hamiltonian

– It is shown that one can obtain quantitatively accurate values for the superconducting critical temperature within a Hamiltonian framework. This is possible if one uses a renormalized Hamiltonian that contains an attractive electron–electron interaction and renormalized single particle energies. It can be obtained by similarity renormalization or using flow equations for Hamiltonians. We calc...
